Damon Wlodarczyk

Damon Wlodarczyk of Riley Pope & Laney is an attorney in Columbia, SC. He represents clients in the areas of insurance defense and coverage disputes, government litigation, general civil litigation and foreclosure litigation at the administrative, trial, and appellate levels. Damon enlisted in the United States Marine Corps upon graduating from high school. Damon received an honorable discharge after four years of service in the Marines. He then attended the University of South Carolina – Aiken, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Damon attended law school at the University of North Carolina. Damon earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina in 2002. Prior to joining the firm, Damon was a staff attorney for the Supreme Court of South Carolina and a Partner at McDonald, McKenzie, Rubin, Miller & Lybrand, LLP, where he had an active trial and appellate practice which focused on tort litigation, insurance defense, insurance coverage, products liability, construction litigation and insurance subrogation. Damon is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in South Carolina, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Richland County Bar Association, and he is also a former council member for the South Carolina Bar Trial and Appellate Advocacy Section. Damon also volunteers as a mentor for the Lawyer Mentoring Program and as a panel member for the Richland County Fee Dispute Resolution Board. Damon, his wife Christine, and their two children reside in West Columbia, South Carolina.
